Nordic Equipment Management You will join a team of 12 persons with an objective to establish a streamlined business unit capable of managing the equipment flow within the Nordic and Baltic Area.As a member of the Equipment team you will work in an ever changing environment and furthermore you will be directly involved in developing of cost effective, second to none positioning solutions.The department is responsible for overall planning of equipment flow to/from/within the Area ensuring all locations are supplied as per their export requirements.As a member of the team you will take on the responsibility for part of the Area.Some of the main tasks will be: .Ensuring sufficient number of containers are supplied to and evacuated from locations under your responsibility..Evaluating equipment flow pattern with the goal to reduce total equipment costs by finding more cost efficient transport solutions using both inland haulage and feeder options.Focus should be on Cost Awareness and Cost Control..Monitor accuracy of forecasts received from commercial desks..Ensure container tracking system (RKEM) timely updated..Reduce number of longstanding empty containers, i.e.empty containers standing idle for too long..Handle redelivery and sale of containers as well as 3rd party damages and total losses..Develop relationships with depots/terminals ensuring they meet our requirements in terms of general communication issues, EDI transfer, procedures for handling and releasing containers etc..Streamlining internal processes and Standard Operating Procedures' and coming up with suggestions how to improve the department's efficiency and performance.We seek a person with strong drive who is motivated by challenges, can handle stress and is willing to take on responsibility.Our business language is English and it is expected that you handle the language well both in speech and writing.Nordic language skills are qualifying.A high school exam or equivalent is a demand and primarily we seek persons who have experience within shipping.The application deadline is the 14th of July, 2006.
