Equipment Coordinator

Our Nordic & Baltic head office is placed in Gothenburg. As an Equipment coordinator for Maersk Nordic you will join a team of 12 persons with an objective to establish a streamlined business unit capable of managing the equipment flow within the Nordic and Baltic Area.As a company Maersk is able to provide you with an excellent learning environment within shipping enabling you to grow professionally through job rotation. The equipment department is responsible for overall planning of equipment flow to/from/within the Area.As a member of the team you will take on the responsibility for part of the Area.You will be working with a wide range of tasks in an ever changing environment.Some of the main tasks will be: - Ensuring sufficient number of containers are supplied to and evacuated from locations under your responsibility.- Evaluating equipment flow pattern with the goal to reduce total equipment costs by finding more cost efficient transport solutions using both inland haulage and feeder options - Develop relationships with depots/terminals ensuring they meet our requirements in terms of general communication issues, procedures for handling and releasing containers etc.We seek a person with strong drive who is motivated by challenges, have the ability to handle a high volume of work and is willing to take on responsibility.Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as a team member are elementary for a successful performance.Our business language is English and it is expected that you handle the language well both in speech and writing.Nordic language skills are qualifying.Experience within shipping is seen as an advantage.Application: You apply for the position by registering your application together with attachments as CV and cover letter, at the Job Portal at our website www.maersk.com We do not accept applications by mail or e-mail.
