Equipment Coordinator

The Nordic & Baltic Area, with headquarters in Gothenburg, consists of 7 countries and 4 main business activities. Equipment Coordinator We are looking for an Equipment Coordinator for our Equipment department in Maersk Nordic & Baltic Area.The equipment department is responsible for overall planning of equipment flow to/from/within the Area.As a coordinator you will join a team of 12 persons managing the equipment flow within the Nordic and Baltic Area.Main Job Responsibilities: - Responsibility for the equipment in the part of the area that is assigned to you - Ensuring sufficient number of containers are supplied to and evacuated from locations under your responsibility.- Evaluating equipment flow pattern with the goal to reduce total equipment costs by finding more cost efficient transport solutions using both inland haulage and feeder options.- Develop relationships with depots/terminals ensuring they meet our requirements in terms of general communication issues, procedures for handling and releasing containers etc.We offer you: - A young and dynamic team - An excellent learning environment within shipping - Open working atmosphere with a constant drive for process improvement - Opportunities for personal development and career Job requirements: - Previous shipping experience is an advantage - Ability to work both independently and as a team member - Good communication skills - Fluent in English both in written and orally - Knowledge in different Nordic languages is an advantage Application: You apply for the position by registering your application at our website www.maersk.com, as soon as possible but no later than the 19th of January 2007.We do not accept applications by mail or e-mail.
