As an Equipment design and laser programming engineer you will work in close cooperation with the team within pre-series production in order to produce and develop both equipment and programs for laser cutting of body component parts which are optimized to reach best cost and quality regarding manufacturing, technique and function. In the role you’ll work in new car programs, low series production and with prototypes, but also support running production, mainly linked to change orders. CATIA V5 is used for engineering and construction and Fastrim is used for laser programming. In your role you will also work with equipment design where you will design and construct the tooling equipment for stamping processes.
You will be able to develop your own skills, both technically with deep knowledge in laser fixturing, laser programming as well as tooling- and mechanization design and construction. Main responsibilities
• Technique area within laser engineering, including development and evaluation of software
• Responsible for laser engineering, fixture engineering, fixture construction and laser programming in tryout phase
• Technical support regarding feasibility for mechanization equipment
• Construction of tooling and mechanization equipment
• Deliver efficient engineering solutions from the perspectives of quality, cost and leadtime
You and your skills
• You have a broad technical experience, preferably technical degree or similar work life experience
• You manage and have CAD experience, preferably in Catia V5, Fastrim or other laser programming software
• You have experience in laser programming and fixturing
• You can work in a changing environment and have the ability to structure and prioritize
• You are performance driven and have a good ability to establish and maintaining networks
• You work structured and have problem-solving skills that can be used to work both independently and in teams
• You can assimilate ideas and adapt them to your own operations through analytical thinking
• Experience from equipment engineering for tooling and mechanization is meritorious
