Northvolt has an exciting job offer for an Equipment Engineer to join our bold Equipment Design & Manufacturing team.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
The Equipment Engineer will need to be the main technical contact point for next generation of processing equipment from conceptual phase all the way through to commissioning . This position is instrumental to scale up Northvolt’s operations in Sweden and beyond.
Reporting to the Equipment Design & Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be part of a dynamic, cross-functional team which will operate within the fields of Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Connectivity & Sensing, working intimately with the R&D department for cell design and our & Production team.
The ultimate goal of this very important team is to create the best equipment strategy to enable the production of the world's greenest batteries!

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Develop detailed specifications and validation activities for specific equipment
· Ensure equipment meets all relevant internal specifications
· Lead and participate in technical design reviews
· Set the critical equipment characteristics to achieve the best safety, performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency
· Supplier Relationship Management
· Develop and maintain document structure within PLM systems
