Equipment Engineer

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for an Equipment Engineer to join our Cylindrical team in Västerås.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
The Equipment Engineer will need to be the main technical contact point for next generation of processing equipment from conceptual phase all the way through to commissioning . This position is instrumental to scale up Northvolt's operations in Sweden and beyond.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop detailed specifications and validation activities for specific equipment
Ensure equipment meets all relevant internal specifications
Lead and participate in technical design reviews
Set the critical equipment characteristics to achieve the best safety, performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency
Supplier Relationship Management
Develop and maintain document structure within PLM systems



Education / Experience / Knowledge
BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field such as Mechatronics / Design / Industrialization etc.
Working experience in equipment design and/or Project Management
Experience from manufacturing industry, cell manufacturing is a plus
Experience in 2D & 3D Modeling
Strong understanding of the supporting processes and associated technologies
Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
Experience with Confluence and/or Jira
