Northvolt has an exciting job offer in the Revolt Purchasing Team to join our passionate team in Västerås.
Our challenge
Sustainability is our mission: we are establishing a robust ecosystem for battery recycling in order to close the loop for Lithium-ion batteries- this is Revolt.
We plan to significantly grow in the next few years while we establish a complete ecosystem for battery recycling in Europe and this will require a strong focus on procurement of equipment, materials and services.
Today we have built our recycling pilot plant in Västerås to demonstrate our process solution, we have launched a joint venture to start a recycling hub in Norway in 2021 and a full-scale recycling plant will be built in Skellefteå to secure a goal of 50% recycled material in new cells by 2030.
A solid long-term sourcing strategy and a close cooperation with suppliers at every stage of the project execution are key to deliver on our challenging targets.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
You will manage equipment integration contracts from contract setup till final delivery of the contract execution, in close cooperation with the project team.
You will independently represent Northvolt position towards external parties and chair the strategic procurement function in the equipment integration contracts to assure best cost and shorten delivery lead-times in line with the project targets.
You will be also responsible for scouting of new potential suppliers and definition of supplier strategy for dedicated categories

Education/Experience
A degree in Engineering, or a MSc with a strong interest and career path in project environments with technical content
Working experience of at least 4 years, ideally in complex project business. Chemical processing knowledge is a plus.
Further education/certifications in Project Management, Procurement and Contract Management desirable (or willing to pursue)
Excellent English written and oral skills, other languages are a plus
Demonstrated experience in procurement/contract management
