Assignment description
An xciting job offer in Systems Equipment Purchasing Team to join our passionate team in Stockholm.

Our challenge:
We are a small but rapidly growing team with various backgrounds and nationalities focusing on procuring equipment for assembly of battery systems.

During 2021 we have taken our first in steps in setting up our new Systems assembly site in Poland - Northvolt Dwa - a greenfield project where Systems Equipment Purchasing is leading the procurement tasks for the systems assembly lines.

Northvolt Systems also encompasses our already established and operational site in Poland - Northvolt Jeden - and our propotype lab in Stockholm - Northvolt Tomteboda, where equipment purchasing is continuously ongoing and Systems Equipment Purchasing are highly involved.

We are in an expansive phase with strong focus on time to market. Equipment purchasing, ongoing contract and relationship management and continuous process development is a key enabler to deliver on our ambitious plans in the most effective way.

Your challenge, if you join us:
You will drive equipment purchasing projects across all Northvolt Systems programmes, in Sweden and abroad.
You will closely monitor supplier performance and maintain complex business relationships with our current and future supply base.
You will get the chance to have a real impact on our success story and clearly see the results of your daily work.

Responsibilities:
Manage full RFI/RFQ process including proposal evaluation, perform and finalise technical, commercial and contract negotiations and perform business awards.
Keeping close relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure early project involvement

Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
- A degree in Engineering or Business with technical focus
- 2-3 years of purchasing experience, prefferably in automotive industry or 2-3 years in operational management consulting,
- Proven negotiation experience
- Experience from difficult bi-lateral & multi-cultural business relationship is a clear plus

Specific Skills/Abilities
- Excellent English written and oral skills,
- Highly organized and result-driven
- Exceptionally good negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Very good team player, able to influence and convince other team members and project stakeholders
- Can do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
- Qualities that we cherish are flexibility, sense of quality, friendliness, motivation to take on new challenges, grit and a sense of humor
- Willingness to travel for EU and oversea business trips.
