About this opportunity
The role is based in our headquarters in central Stockholm, where you will sit on the trading floor together with the development and trading teams, which offers a great opportunity to learn the nuances of trading and the financial markets.
Nordea Technology is organized around competence areas, such as SW Development, IT Analysis and Application Maintenance. Your home will be in the Application Maintenance capability. Engineers from the various competence areas come together in DevOps teams, which is where the business value is delivered through projects or application maintenance and support. You will be part in one of the Equity DevOps teams.
In Application Maintenance you will drive the best practices and standards around how Nordea delivers application maintenance, while in Equities DevOps team you will deliver solutions around the trading applications.
What you’ll be doing:
* Providing excellent application support to equity sales managers and traders.
* Identifying and eliminating toil by fixing root causes or eliminate repetitive manual work through automation.
* Proactively driving resiliency by implementing and continuously improve monitoring systems, recovery and failover capabilities.
* Resolving incidents, identifying root causes and mitigating actions.
* Driving stability and improvement initiatives toward software vendors, core technology and other stakeholders.
* Participating in Quality Assurance of new features, drive non-functional development requirements and review architecture as a key member of the DevOps team.
* You will take part in the support rotation (morning or evening), ensuring we have proper support coverage at all times.
What we offer:
* A dynamic, collaborative and learning environment where each contribution matters.
* Opportunity to work on mission critical systems and get exposure and in-depth knowledge of a wide range of technologies and the equity trading domain.
* At least 10% time dedicated to learning and opportunities to participate in various communities of practices such as release orchestration, cloud technology, QA Automation or Development Community.
* Hybrid working model with opportunity to work partly from remote or home.
The role is based in Copenhagen.
Who you are
Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in being at our best – and that we imagine you share with us.
* You have a relevant degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar.
* Fluent in English.
The ideal candidate would have some or all of the following:
* Advantage to have strong knowledge of exchange technology and related communication protocols, an example being the FIX protocol.

To thrive in this role we believe you possess the following characteristics:
* Keen interest in equity stock markets or trading technology.
* Team player with excellent communication skills.
* Structured approach and ability to think while under pressure.
* Self-motivated, reliable and flexible with a doer mindset.
