The relevance of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) is growing rapidly and PwC on a global level has identified ESG as a top priority growth initiative.
Our mission is to help our clients make the right choices to position them in a sustainable tomorrow and to embed ESG factors in core strategy. Furthermore, we help our clients operationalise refreshed strategy and implement ESG aspects into everyday operations. In order to effectively execute on the ambitions and targets set, organizations need to change the way they operate - reflecting ESG in their organization, processes, incentive schemes and daily operations as well as decision making.
We are looking for sustainability pioneers and strategists in ESG work connected to company value creation, e.g. sustainability and energy transformation, sustainable supply chains, climate change, responsible investment, sustainable finance, social impact, ESG data and strategy & transformation.
It is an extra plus if you are well introduced to ESG due diligence, initiating and driving ESG agenda in the diverse and complex business landscapes, analytical and management consultancy work.
Your experience can be broad and contain different perspectives e.g. from management consultancy, energy sector, business transformation, non-profit organizations, public sector etc. Most importantly you have a strong passion and vision for ESG and a practical understanding & experience of how organizations need to implement and live the ESG frameworks and create a tangible value by doing that.
You will get the opportunity to work with a broad range of industries and sectors including private equity, the corporate and the public sector.
You will be part of a young, expanding and ambitious ESG business unit and you will work in teams across PwC as well as independently and you will face clients regularly. You are expected to be a driven problem solver with a strong business interest, eager to take on new challenges.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Analytical work with focus on the ESG set of standards and topics within the field ( e.g.TCFD, sustainable supply chains, ESG data, human rights, social impact, energy transformation)
Co-creating client offer together with the stakeholders
Identifying ESG risks and possibilities and leading the strategy & transformation projects
Analyzing data, framework & governance documents and submitting well-structured reports to clients
Facilitate and lead client meetings
Project leading & product ownership
Train and coach more junior staff members
Be involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
Contribute to the development of your own and the team’s technical acumen

Preferred skills
Bachelor’s (requirement) or Master’s (meriting) degree in appropriate field (e.g. within Sustainability field, National economy, Finance) and a strong passion for sustainable development
2+ years’ experience in business transformation/strategic consultancy and analytical work with preferably broad background and clear expertise areas
Broad experience from the energy and utility industry
Ability to understand and navigate in complexity and a strong interest for problem solving
Curious and ever learning with strong growth mindset
Visionary in communicating ideas and very practical in planning and executing the “how”
High emotional intelligence
Experienced or /and talented in written and verbal communication (client reports)
English and Swedish are required for this role
