In this role you need to have proven experience of Project Management and establishment of new CMPs / major rebuild projects in a multicultural setup. You also have experience of working and steering through financial tools, as well as technological and/or digital development.
You have knowledge in the followings:
• IKEA Retail concept, retail establishment process, and Project Management for implementing CMPs and major rebuilds with proven experience
• optimizing the efficiency of CMPs in a multichannel landscape
• IKEA governance process and elaboration of investment requests
• IKEA concept, brand objectives, values and vision
• Ingka Group strategies, priorities and strategic expansion planning process
• how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders in IKEA
• IKEA multichannel shopping experience
• understanding of IKEA multichannel network (CFF)
As a person you demonstrate great leadership capabilities with strong interpersonal skills to build trustful relationships as well as strong coaching skills to challenge and support. You are capable to take a holistic view of a global organization and identify business opportunities accordingly. You prioritize and make decisions with speed and simplicity. You drive and implement initiatives across the organization by communicating in an inspirational way with IKEA tone of voice.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Establishment Leader you are responsible to ensure successful preparation and implementation of all Investments made in new and existing units: Customer Meeting Points (CMPs), Ingka Centres integration, Service Offices, Customer Support Centres according to the Ingka Strategic Expansion plans. You are responsible to optimize retail Establishments from a growth and profitability perspective.
You will be responsible to:
• support the Country Establishment teams in their creation of the 5-year re-investment plan per unit according to SISAN needs and outcome of Active Portfolio Management
• coordinate market information input for expansion planning and design process for new establishments & major rebuilds according to the INGKA Expansion Process
• identify needed tools and methodologies and support its execution for new establishments and rebuilds to optimize one market approach
• take lead in following up & documentation on investment plans and cost levels with the purpose to optimize profitability and suggest improvements for future investments
• develop and implement ways of working in Establishment in order to gain speed, efficiency, quality and low cost
• evaluate all projects according to best practice solutions and optimal investment levels
• provide relevant updates & changes in the INGKA Expansion Process and Sub-processes connected to Establishment tasks
• reach the objectives and goals for Group Expansion and Country Expansion Teams
• work with relevant stakeholders within and outside Ingka Group
• take lead in driving an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and empowered
• lead positive change, and contribute to building a more unique, inclusive and accessible IKEA - guided by the People and Planet Positive commitments
In this role you will report to the Establishment Manager. This role is located in Malmö, Sweden.

With the customer at the heart of everything we do, Group Expansion takes responsibility for strategic expansion planning enabling penetration of existing and new markets. We take the lead for business development of existing and new customer meeting points. We act on business needs and empower the markets to maximise accessibility, implement our retailing concepts and fully utilise our assets in the new world of IKEA – all at lowest cost, with economy of scale and sustained profitability.
