VACANCY
The Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), situated in Grenoble, France, is Europe's leading research facility for scientific research using neutrons. Every year, we host over 2000 visits by scientists, who come to the Institute to carry out world-class research.

We currently have a vacancy for an:
EU Project Finance Manager
Duties:
You will work in the ILL's European Office and will be involved in all aspects of project management. You will work closely with the ILL project leaders (scientists and engineers) and assist them in the financial management of their projects. You will have the following duties:
- Financial reporting (to the European Commission as well as 3-monthly interim reporting to the project coordinator) for several EU projects.
- Verify the compliance of existing financial reporting procedures at the ILL with the reporting rules set out in the Model Grant Agreement.
- Ensure the ongoing compliance of ILL's financial reporting procedures with evolving EU regulations
- Prepare project management dashboards.
- Identify, report on and implement corrective actions and propose operational or strategic areas for improvement.
- Prepare and monitor EC and internal audits.
- Organise meetings (external/internal/virtual) and take minutes and notes.
- Collaborate, when necessary, in the setting-up of European projects, support the European Office with project coordination or participate directly in project implementation.
Qualifications and experience:
- You have a Master's degree in European Governance (or equivalent qualification) or relevant previous experience (e.g. in a financial audit environment).
- Proven experience of managing research projects and a good understanding of grant application procedures.
- Experience in the management of research funding.
- You are passionate about science and its applications and feel comfortable communicating with scientific researchers and research managers.
- Knowledge and experience of managing projects under the EU Framework Programmes, H2020 or similar national schemes, would be a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
Language skills:
As an international research centre, we are particularly keen to ensure that we also attract applicants from outside France. You must have a sound knowledge of English and be willing to learn French (a language course will be paid for by the ILL). Knowledge of German would be an advantage.
