We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.
User experience in focus
At Volvo Cars, we aim to lead in the automotive world by making our customers' lives less complicated. We are becoming a more software driven company and aim to give our customers a better car-experience every day. We focus our products to offer freedom to move in an environmental and sustainable way. Volvo Cars has the ambition to sell 1,000,000 electrified cars by 2025, and with this ambitious goal set, we work intensely with development and validation of technical solutions in hybrid- and electric vehicles. Here is a chance to be part of that journey.
Who are we?
We are a group of 20 members, divided into 3 teams and we work with the High Voltage Battery charging. Charging is a diverse and complex area where the customer interaction is very close. The test teams consist of members from several countries, and English is therefore more common than Swedish. The work environment is open and energetic, and we continuously strive for improvement and welcome new and creative ideas. The varying background and experience of the members contribute to a welcoming and respectful openness to all new members.
Who are we looking for?
We now wish to grow the teams and are looking for more people interested in electrification, system development and testing. We have openings in several areas, such as charging communication, power electronics, as well as in supportive functions in the test teams.
What you´ll do
A large part of the work in our teams is focused on verifying adherence to market dependent communication protocols, which come with a variation of HW interfaces for power transfer. We also test the power electronics of the on-board charger as well as the DCDC converters. The work will cover many aspects of tests and analysis, starting in reading standards and internal requirements and ending in vehicle validation of charging. It is our job to test these systems in HIL, LAB and real-world environment to make sure our customers receive good products.
Do you fit the profile?
You are familiar with tools and techniques used to measure and analyse both analogue and digital systems. Interest in and understanding of TCP-IP network architecture is beneficial as is experience of automotive control system development. Driving license is required.
