Join our dynamic team! SwedenBIO is looking for an event sales manager to strengthen our sales activities and customer networks. 
SwedenBIO is the Swedish life science industry organization with over 340 member companies. We aim to improve the business environment for the life science ecosystem by building networks, increasing knowledge transfer, and influencing policies.
SwedenBIO organizes the largest life science partnering event in the Nordics – Nordic Life Science Days (NLSDays) – an annual conference with more than 1,500 delegates.
What you'll do
The event sales manager’s main responsibility is tied to NLSDays. In this role, you will ensure that our leads and contacts generate sponsorships, exibitors and delegates to the conference. The role includes outreach activities that require substantial social skills. You will be responsible for back-office operations necessary for professional follow-ups, deals and contracts, which require the ability to build long-term relations and to manage negotiations. To succeed in this role, we believe that you are a structured team-player with a strong sales mindset.
This is a new role which will become an integral part of SwedenBIO’s office and a key component of our day-to-day operations. You will join a small and agile team of seven people with a start-up mentality. This means that everyone joins forces to generate value to our member companies and to push the frontiers of the entire life science ecosystem, in Sweden and abroad. You will work closely with the Managing Director of NLSDays.

Main responsibilities
Manage customer relationships with SwedenBIO members and NLSDays exhibitors, sponsors and delegates.
Lead the sales process of memberships, sponsors, and exhibitors from identified prospects to a finalized agreement.
Structured data management in CRM and registration systems.

Required education and experience
Academic degree in business and administration or in a life science field.
Experience in B2B sales.
Experience with CRM and other IT systems.
Excellent language skills in English and limited working proficiency in Swedish.

Experience with events.
Experience from working in a similar organization


About this role and application process
This is a permanent, full-time position with a preferred start-date in September or October. We apply a six-month trial period. SwedenBIO is a hybrid workplace where we gather physically in the office in central Stockholm a few days a week. We have a collective agreement through IKEM.
