The Magic Starts At Six
At Six is a contemporary art and design hotel with 343 rooms and suites, including our Masterpiece Suite and 32 longstay apartments adjacent to the hotel. In the house you will also find - the Wine bar Blanche & Hierta, At Six Cocktailbar and the large international restaurant Dining Room. There is also a gym, wellness and 3000m2 flexible event and meeting space. At Six is run by Petter Stordalen's hotel group Nordic Hotels & Resorts, together with the neighboring hotel Hobo, The Thief, Copperhill, Yasuragi, Villa Copenhagen, Sommerro, Kämp hotels and the American Line.

Events & Conference Kitchen - Where the action happens
The Events & Conference Kitchen is an action packed team with different challenges and goals from week to week. On Monday you could be taking care of a smaller conference of 20 people, on Wednesday you could be preparing lunch for 300 people and on Friday you could be taking care of a Birthday party with an open grill for 250 people.
You would be working with a team of 5 people, preparing and plating food with Argentinian, Asian & Middleeastern themes.
The position is a temporary post during a 6 month period, since one of our stars is going on parental leave. However with a possibility of longer term employment according to performance.
The Role and Our Philosophy
We are looking for a star Sous chef that’s eager to make a difference. You should be flexible with your schedule since weekends are included. You are used to working in a very time efficient way. To fill this position, we need to find someone that works well under pressure, can meet deadlines and even last minute requests from our guests. A key to the roll is to be able to plan ahead in a structured way. We deliver food in big quantities but of the best quality and we shall expect the same from you.

And what about you?
To apply for this position, we ask that you have at least 5 years of experience working in a similar position - preferably as a Sous Chef. It would be a plus if you are familiar with working in a hotel setting. Formal chef education is not a must but it’s definitely a plus.
You are driven, focused and willing to make a difference. You should teach and command with examples.
