Events Specialist to Nasdaq European Markets
Our Global Events team at Nasdaq is looking for an Events Specialist responsible for all events for our European Markets business.

With this position we offer
As our next Events Specialist within European Markets, we offer an exciting opportunity for you to be a strategic partner to the business; planning and executing Nasdaq events, spanning from large scale conferences, one day seminars/briefings and intimate invitation only roundtables.
In this role, you will be communicating with senior leadership as well as internal stakeholders from local offices around Europe. Here you will be providing your expertise in event planning on how to leverage these forums to generate meaningful connections, maintaining relationships with current customers and developing new relationships with prospective customers. Additionally, the events you produce will provide a platform for Nasdaq to be thought leaders in our field by contributing to the regional and global conversation and will consistently promote Nasdaqs products and brand.

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be tasked with building out a strategic event plan that will support in the delivery of various business goals and objectives set by management for Nasdaqs European Markets business focusing on Nordic Equities, Nordic Equity Derivatives, Nordic Fixed Income, Clearing, Commodities, & Surveillance with cross collaboration with Corporate Platforms and Investment Intelligence.The role would also work in tandem with the internal marketing and communications teams. This position reports to the Head of European Events.
Day to day planning of flagship events, conferences, seminars/briefings and round tables
Responsible for all logistics management, as well as all follow through post event to include post event re-caps with the business stakeholders to determine the success and ROI of each event and make recommendations for future participation.
Take part in the strategic planning of events together with the Marketing team and ensure these are in line with the overall business strategy
Stay updated on the latest trends and source for venues for events (including virtual), area information, & gifting.
Track event budgets and spend management; provide forecasting and spend updates at all steps of the event, starting at the conceptualization process
Offer creative guidance to the business to help them fully leverage the visibility opportunities available through these events
Deliver exceptional client service. Always putting the customer first in every interaction.
Rental and revenue management and on-site support/coordination for events that are hosted at our Stockholm European Headquarters location (bell ceremonies, internal events, external client events.)
We expect you to have
Proven event planning expertise from ideation and strategic planning, to flawless execution of every event
Excellent stakeholder relationship management abilities both internal and external
Ability to work under pressure and manage shifting priorities
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Ability to adapt to an ever changing environment in the event planning sphere
Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish written and spoken
It would be great if you have
Proficiency in a CRM system, preferably in Salesforce & Marketo
Experience with marketing automation tools
Experience from the financial industry and have knowledge on the products and services that European Markets provides
Degree in Marketing, Communications or Hospitality
