Operations Excellence (OE) is a function within SML responsible to develop todays and future way of working and secure Value Chain excellence through global principles, standards and best practices across the different regions in the SML organization. Operations Excellence lead the strategy work, innovation and change agenda with the aim to deliver uptime through sustainable logistics offers and value driven performance. Operations Excellence make sure that the operative regions work in a standardized, harmonized and effective way utilizing innovative solutions and best practices. Operations Excellence also manage and develop global commercial packaging, as well as being the host function for SML VPS way of working.
 
Order and Distribution is a function within Operations Excellence and SML responsible for driving Excellence in the process areas Order to Delivery, Transport, Dealer service & support and Returns.
As an Excellence Leader within Order and Distribution you will secure future operational excellence through identifying opportunities, exploring new concepts, develop principles & standards, and improve Service Market Value Chains that enhance dealer business and enable Volvo Group Customer Success. You demonstrate Value Chain leadership and team up with colleagues cross the E2E Value Chains within SML as well as at our Brands and with other partners.
You have a solid Supply Chain background and you have proven examples of successful Supply Chain transformation/improvement projects. You have the skills to lead and drive implementation of identified Best Practices together with the line organization. You are a real team player that feels very comfortable to work in global networks. You will lead and contribute to the development of the Service Market Value Chain. You always strive to develop further in your role and have a genuine desire to build positive relations, within and outside the Operations Excellence Function.

Main activities and responsibilities:
Lead development of process flows and connected principles with an E2E Value Chain perspective securing performance targets and Value Chain maturity.
Develop excellence roadmap for dedicated Value Chain areas and ensure alignment with business strategies
Lead and support the execution of the plan and review progress, drive change activities as stakeholder management and communication.
Manage business demand and balance multiple requirement, act as Business Need Request Driver
Continuously improve skills and knowledge of leading practices and awareness of industry trends. Benchmark activities, keep track of trends and enable an innovative culture
Manage needed value chain networks and teams
Development and Continuous Improvement of Best Practices (BP) using the customer view and E2E perspective. Support pilot and follow up implementation of BP.
Enable cross business area and cross functional collaboration, learning and sharing.
Ensure that the customer’s requirements and expectations on the process are known and fulfilled where ever to process is executed.

 
Qualifications:

The right person holds the following key qualifications and competences:
Very good understanding of the Service Market Business and a customer value oriented mindset
Experienced leader, managing departments or teams
Excellent knowledge in the E2E Value Chain perspective including connected industry standards and best practices.
Very good skills in business process management
Ability to drive change and lead problem solving and continuous improvement activities applying the VPS Concept.
Strong leadership skills and networking capability with proven ability to facilitate cross-functional, cross-business unit teams on various levels.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
An innovative mindset, positive personality and a can-do attitude
Excellent proficiency in the English language is required
