What you will be a part of
Group ICT is responsible to drive and implement the Saab IT strategy as well as running the delivery to enable smooth and efficient daily operation, delivery and maintenance. We deliver to operations in Sweden and many of our international sites. Saab ICT also supports the business in the changing environment in M&A implementations and start-up of new office locations, and any other change that is needed to support the business.
Product Management have two main areas of responsibility – IT Architecture and Product Lifecycle Management. Product management also covers IT products within the area of R&D-applications and IT-infrastructure. The product management responsibility comprise of portfolio management, life cycle management including roadmaps and technology planning, transition plans for current IT services to the new ones and phase out based on business cases. The unit is responsible to coordinate and to seek common technology synergies between IT solutions and Saab products.We are now expanding and have the need to strenghten the architectural team with an exceptional IT architect. Your role
As an IT architect within Product Management your main focus will be strategic proactive work to lay the foundation for Saabs future IT solutions. Depending on your profile you will be involved in everything from forming the Saab group IT strategy, pre studies, sourcing to project implementation work.You will proactively work to structure, document, propose and implement global solutions to help bring value to the core business of Saab. With a holistic perspective in mind, your focus will be to secure that the governing architectural and security principles, guidelines and standards are implemented. At the same time, you will be balancing the functional requirements and quality characteristics against cost to meet the core business expectations in the best possible way.
Part of the work will include review of proposed solutions within different technology domains, analyze the current IT environment and recommend solutions for development and to analyze technology and market trends and their potential impact on the architecture and solutions.

Your skills and experience
We expect to find someone that really makes a difference and takes great responsibility in the daily work. You have a high customer focus and ability to interpret and translate requirements to solutions that create customer and business value. You can communicate complex technology problems and solutions to different stakeholders and on all levels of the organisation. Your drive, curiosity and willingness to develop are outstanding but at the same time you are humble when interacting with both colleagues and customers. You combine a high level of analytical skills and integrity with excellent team work qualities.We believe you have excellent knowledge in IT and architectural work within your domain combined with general knowledge of all components of an enterprise technical architecture. You have experience as technical lead or architect within a global organization with a complex IT environment where you have successfully developed architecture roadmaps and designed and implemented architectures into proven solutions. Good knowledge in information/IT-security and latest technology trends such as cloud etc. are important for this strategic position. You are fluent in both Swedish and English and have a solid background with a Ph.D./M.Sc./B.Sc. in engineering/IT or equivalent.
