Arbetsbeskrivning
Sandvik is a company that has advanced, changed and made history for 160 years, and today we’re a decentralized high-tech industrial group, with about 37.000 employees in 160 countries worldwide. We’re forward thinkers, driven by our passion to continuously innovate smarter solutions and enable important shifts. One of the key success factors for Sandvik Group is our brilliant people – the ones who brought us to the market leading position we hold today, and the ambassadors of our brand and culture.
Now we’re on the lookout for a talented compensation and benefits (C&B) professional with focus on executive compensation matters – someone who pays great attention to details and delivery, and who has a strong ethical compass and a passion for the business. Are you ready to embark on an exciting Sandvik career where you get the chance to work together with great minds and shape best practices in an international arena? Then take a look at this rarely offered opportunity!
Briefly about the job
You’ll be joining a company that has set the foundation for growth, and you’ll work closely with Group Head of C&B and other stakeholders to ensure a competitive executive compensation structure adhering to our governance model and processes. You support the group by preparing material for the Remuneration Committee, preparing sections for the annual report and coordinating the executive salary review process. You proactively analyze and evaluate data of our current employee population versus the external market, and naturally, you conduct job evaluations of management positions.
Keeping one ear to the ground and benchmarking towards other companies within the industry is a vital part of your job, and you take full ownership for the external data used for benchmarks (Mercer’s MERG). You manage relationships with external partners, suppliers as well as internal stakeholders, and you’re an active member of the C&B Forum and a sounding board for the business within your area of expertise. In addition, you provide training and advice regarding C&B, and as we have a strong growth agenda, you’ll be involved in upcoming HR projects ranging from C&B-related topics to M&A activities.
In this position, you report to the Group Head of Compensation & Benefits. You’ll be located in Stockholm or Sandviken, however other Sandvik sites may be considered. Occasional travel to our business units around the world is part of the job.
And what about you?
We’re seeking an experienced C&B professional who truly understands the complexity of a global business. You have a relevant degree, most likely within Finance, Law, Engineering or Business Administration, and you combine this with at least five years’ experience from working with C&B, with focus on executive compensation. We also expect experience in project management, and it’s beneficial if you have previously participated in M&A activities. You’re used to working with job architecture and preparing evaluations and presentations, and we expect good knowledge of Office 365. We operate worldwide, and this calls for an open mind and cultural awareness, as well as excellent communication skills in English.
You thrive when analyzing and evaluation data, and then get to transform it into relevant structures and recommendations. In all your work, you rely on strong stakeholder management and great collaborations, and you always take full ownership, respond timely to business requirements and make sound judgements.
