Avalanche Studios is looking for an Executive Producer to be responsible for Call of the Wild: the Angler as a part of the Expansive Worlds division management team. The Executive Producer reports directly to the Director of Development, and will be a key part of translating long term strategic goals into operational tasks for projects within Expansive Worlds, as well as interpreting operational needs into additional strategic goals.
The Executive Producer is expected to perform in the following areas:
Development:
- Approves development plans, ensuring they align with product goals
- Responsible for engaging with Publishing (Division Management) for areas where solutions don't fit
- Responsible for providing tools for monitoring risk and mitigations, as well as planning, tracking and visualisation of data in relation to development
- Support the Lead Producers to execute on a schedule to a contracted timelines
- Provides standardised model to define, align and track quality for game projects
- Consolidates reports of development progress and risks across the division for division management team
Leadership:
- Support the PO with engaging with the Division Management team when discussing time/budget/forecast compromises to reach KPIs and Goals
- Accountable for ensuring a working environment that is inclusive and equitable
People Management:
- Responsible for growth and development plans for direct reports, including any performance management (using tools and guidelines from the People Organisation)
- Responsible for translating project goals into individual goals for direct reports
- Responsible for turning Division goals into project goals alongside the Product Owner
- Support the Lead Producer with the general well being of the project development team
- Approves Lead Producers plans for vacation and sickness coverage
Resourcing:
- Support the Director of Development in the planning of staff members across projects
- This includes consolidation of plans across divisions, identify strategic gaps and opportunities, and resolving conflicts between projects and divisions
External Development:
- Responsible for managing the due-diligence assessment of potential outsource vendors, including cost control vs quality balance
- Responsible for aligning internal staffing and development resource planning for the project (including budget impacts), including on/off ramps
- Support the Business with structuring milestone schedules and work orders during contract creation process
- Support the External Producers with validation of delivery of agreed deliverables, approving and rejecting as required
