The System Design and Simulation team is part of the Exhaust After Treatment System (EATS) Department within Powertrain Engineering, Volvo Group Trucks Technology. The team is responsible for EATS global system engineering, EATS technical lead as well as simulations of thermo- and fluid-dynamic processes within the exhaust aftertreatment systems.

We at the EATS System Design & Simulation team within Volvo Group Trucks Technology and Powertrain Engineering are now seeking an EATS Global System Engineer to further strengthen our team.
At Powertrain Engineering you will be a key contributor to the system development of new sustainable internal combustion engine solutions where renewable fuels such hydrogen, biogas and e-fuels will play an important role. Together with us in the team, you will create innovative human-centric transport technologies which make life less complicated and environment friendly to the society. You will join a passionate team working on highly innovative products in the powertrain area. We are team players with energy and creativity who look at challenges with curiosity and work with continuous improvement.


What you will work with as EATS Global System Engineer at Volvo Group Trucks Technology?


The scope of your tasks stretches from early concept development through industrialization projects as well as maintenance activities. Your focus will be on EATS system development and the integration into a complete powertrain solution with engine and combustion systems, driveline and Vehicle Engineering/Technology.
You will have the responsibility of certain areas of the EATS system but will also work in close contact with other senior engineers with whom you will create a complete solution with best possible features and quality. You will facilitate cooperation on global level and drive commonality.

Other qualifications:
University degree in chemical, electronic, mechanical/mechatronics engineering or similar.
Genuine interest and understanding of the Exhaust Aftertreatment technology area and its automotive applications.
Expert knowledge of engine combustion, EATS fundamentals and controls.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Knowledge in Volvo specific tools and processes is an advantage.
