HR Sweden AB is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing accounting firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial records of our small business clients. You will handle a wide range of accounting tasks, from day-to-day bookkeeping and payroll processing to preparing VAT, withholding taxes, and income tax declarations.
Employment is Stockholm-based and can be started at the December 2, 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR):
Process invoices, payments, and manage client/vendor accounts.
Payroll:
Accurately calculate and process employee salaries, taxes, and social security contributions.
Bank Reconciliations:
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
Month-End, Quarter-End and Year-End Closings:
Assist with the preparation and closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Tax Compliance:
Prepare and submit VAT declarations, withholding tax reports & social security fees for employees, as well as income tax declarations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in accounting (internships and entry-level experience will be considered).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Fortnox).
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Knowledge of VAT, withholding taxes, social fees, and income tax laws is a plus.
Strong MS Excel skills.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
