Job description

The current organisation in Copenhagen consists of an Interim Finance Manager with full responsibility for the Danish finance operations including 2 senior staff in AR/AP. The intention is to replace the interim solution with a permanent position based in Stockholm. Ideally, we are looking for an experienced accounting professional who can assume full responsibilities of all accounting matters as outlined below. But we are also open to professionals whom are willing to learn and own the responsibility of Danish accounting operations in combination with experience in tax, corporate structure and transactions.

- Management of day to day accounting, bookkeeping and performance monitoring of the Danish operation
- Responsible for independently preparing financial statements and producing annual reports according to deadlines
- Ensure correct preparation of P/L and B / L - prepare consolidated accounts to HQ and Norther Europe CFO
- Ensure accurate financial reporting processes, analysis, forecasts and budgeting as well as cost allocation
- Responsible for accounting and tax issues in divestment processes and acquisitions as well as projects in consultation with HQ, controlling, the transaction team and advisors
- Assist Group Tax with accounting-related matters
- Project accounting; manage ongoing project cost monitoring and support the controlling team with data for analysis
- Ensure that adequate government reporting is carried out
- Act as a counterparty with external and internal auditors




Qualifications

It is a large plus with an individual who is familiar with working in matrix organizations and in international listed companies as well as experience in the finance system SAP. Strong emphasis on being able to interact hands-on, understanding local Danish conditions (or be willing to learn together with the interim manager plus additional concultancy expertise purchased externally, when needed) in terms of tax and laws etc. Preferably with some experience in Real Estate and / or Retail exposure.

The Danish operation is deemed to consume roughly 60% of the time in this position the rest to be filled with support in tax, transaction, projects and operational matters with senior management. - Academic degree in Accounting & Finance
- Experience in retail and/or construction / real estate industry, a plus for experience of listed companies
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting
- In-depth knowledge within Danish accounting standards and IFRS as well as specific property aspects such as VAT management (if not on your CV today, URW will enable you to learn)
- Experience of SAP is a strong plus
- Relaxed when it comes to working with advanced Excel models
- Exposure to Transactions and Treasury matters is advantageous
- Accustomed to working with English as a working language
- Good knowledge of tax issues related to Danish law and real estate specifics is a big plus
- Able and willing to be based in Stockholm with a trip once or twice per month to Copenhagen, possibly more during the initial phase
- Accustomed to working both strategically and operationally regarding e.g. accounting and forecasting
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with an eye for detail and high precision in the work
- Positive attitude and stress-tested in tough environments
- Communicative, efficient and reliable as well as stress-resistant with the habit of strictly meeting deadlines
- Strong sense of priority and structure
