Experienced Axle Design Engineer

Volvo Construction Equipment, a business area within the Volvo Group, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of construction equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, articulated haulers, road development equipment and compact equipment. Production facilities are located in Europe, Asia, North America and Latin America. Driveline Systems at Volvo CE is the core center within Volvo CE for Driveline development and are responsible for developing transmissions, brakes and wheel axles for Volvo CE. We are now looking for an Experienced Axle Design Engineer to strengthen our Mechanical Design Department, for this position the candidate needs at least 3-5 years experience in mechanical design of heavy duty axels, not necessarily from the construction equipment industry. You will be working in a highly focused and motivated team, working with mechanical design and product maintenance within driveline components. Your responsibilities as an experienced design engineer will be to lead the development of 3D-modells and production drawings in close cooperation with production, purchasing and sub suppliers. You will also be responsible to assure that our quality targets both functional and robustness & reliability are met in cooperation with the Verification & Validation department. Qualifications: . M.Sc or B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent . Minimum of 3-5 years of Experience in Axle Mechanical Design work . Experience of 3D CAD design and development in Catia v5 and Solid Edge is positive . Experience in dealing with design and development problems with a strong intuitive and analytic ability to resolve problem issues Personal Qualifications: . Good communication and documentation skills . Target and result oriented . Ability to work and perform in cross-functional project teams, both inside and outside the company . Self going and be able to take initiative . Good command of English, both written and spoken . Interest in machines and especially drivelines are positive
