Experienced C++ Designers for Ericsson

Are you ready for a new challenge in a company that encourages you to take your software design career to new horizons?We are looking for two experienced software designers that can contribute to Ericsson's market-leading product GGSN.In return, you will gain experience in cutting-edge design technology in an international environment that inspires you to develop and grow.The product The Ericsson product GGSN (Gateway GPRS Support Node) is a central node in the packet core network providing gateway functionality between the internet and the core network as well as service-aware charging and control functionality.The GGSN is designed using an IP-routing platform provided by a partner organization.GGSN is implemented in C/C++ using Visual Studio and Rhapsody The job You will be working in cross functional teams together with system managers, architects, other designers and testers.Together as a team you will be responsible for implementing new features and customer requirements.The work includes requirement analysis and breakdown, prototyping, Implementation planning and execution, design-test and follow-up.The team itself is responsible for time plans and to keep deadlines so we need our team members to be self-going, responsible and good team players.The job is located in a pleasant marine environment with a magnificent view over Gothenburg in a top modern facility at Lindholmen in Gothenburg.Your personality You have a genuine interest in technology and programming.You want to be the best in your area of expertise but you are also curious to understand the big picture and how our product is used in our customers' mobile networks.You are enthusiastic and take full ownership of your tasks, especially when they are really challenging.You have a strong will and personal drive and are not afraid to speak your opinion.You feel that in a couple of years you would like to develop your career by either take on technical responsibility for a sub-system of our product, become an architect or develop your leadership skills as technical team leader.Qualifications and competence .Excellent and proven skills in C/C++ programming with a relevant university degree or an equal education..A minimum of 3-4 years of related work experience..Good knowledge of TCP/IP and other protocols..Good written and spoken English.It will be an advantage if you have experience in: .Designing Control Plan logistics for telecom .ClearCase or similar .Design test .UML and modeling tools .Rational tools like Purify and Quantify .Coverity Prevent Your application For this recruitment, Ericsson is cooperating with ELAN - a Manpower Professional company.As the selection and interview process is ongoing, send your application as soon as possible by using the link below - do not wait until just before the closing date 5/9, 2008.
