EXPERIENCED CAE-ENGINEER WITHIN BIOMECHANICS AND LIFE SCIENCE

ALTEN Gothenburg is now expanding and seeking a new member to join our in-house team working with CAE within Life Science!

We are looking for you who has a strong background within Biomechanics and CAE related to Life science industry. You need to have proven skills within structural analysis (FEM), biomechanics, biomaterials, segmentation from scanned images and medical technology. It is preferable that you have experience using Ansa, Meta and Abaqus.

You are enthusiastic over solving problems and using your creativity to find new solutions.

Recent increases in computational power are opening research areas that the Life Science Industry is willing to investigate, offering a cost effective alternative to clinical or laboratory experiments. With knowledge in physiology, the biomechanics of tissues and with appropriate validation, the Finite Element Method offer great tools for a better understanding of the interaction between the human body and medical devices.

ALTEN’s CAE team within Life Science is currently working with several projects for some of the largest Life Science companies in Scandinavia. Our mission includes the creation of anatomical models, simulations and analysis of the interaction with devices.

We are looking to find the right competence to join our work with:

- Supporting our Life Science customers to define the appropriate scopes and resources for their needs.

- Performing literature reviews of the state-of-art using scientific journals and standardised methods.

- Developing methods including creation of FE models from CAD or from segmentation of medical imaging (CT Scan, MRI…) and validation of the models against relevant data.

- Performing FE analysis and effectively communicate the results to the customers.

- Recommending potential optimisation of products.
