Arbetsbeskrivning
For business area segment Sandvik Machining Solutions, we’re now looking for an experienced, confident and business-driven communicator. Someone who is eager to explore new possibilities, ready to create messages that really get people’s attention and knows how to bring corporate communication into the future. In return, we offer you our world of opportunities - hosting global networks, competent and passionate colleagues, flexible settings and constant development. Sounds interesting? Keep reading, and we’ll tell you a bit more!
About the job
Great collaboration is key in the field of communication, and you help us build extensive networks across the Sandvik Group to ensure a strong communication agenda, increase employee commitment and generate a wide spread of our messages. You hands-on support the business in creating efficient structures and activities for communication, and you take part in a variety of change projects.
When joining us, you create engaging and high quality messages and look at innovative ways of making sure we reach our target audience. Your main focus is on internal communication, and especially together with the HR organization, as you assist in producing content linked to common HR topics such as Diversity and Inclusion, Employer Branding, employee engagement and leadership communication. In addition, you support both the business area segment and our divisions when it comes to strengthening our strategic agenda and increasing the awareness of our company. Planning, drafting, editing and publishing content are essential parts of the job, and you explore, recommend and test new tools and platforms - always taking stakeholder feedback, previous insights, business objectives and internal directives and guidelines into account. With your broad communication experience, you easily shift perspective between internally and externally as you also work with brand reputation in an ever changing media landscape.
For this job, you’re located in either Sandviken or Stockholm. Some travel is normally included, but due to the pandemic situation, we consider the digital arena as more important than ever.
About you
You have a broad communications background – including experience from both internal and external communication activities, written and visual content creation, as well as media and multi-brand portfolios. You have already been working in large, international organizations and know how to quickly break down information, capture the essence and spread the word. We’re a global business, and you need to have excellent writing, editing and speaking skills in English, while knowledge of Swedish is beneficial.
A relevant academic degree is required, and you’re a comfortable user of the communicators toolbox; such as Office 365, parts of the Adobe Suite and different publishing tools. As you often support our HR team, we believe that you’re extra passionate about communication related to HR – offering leadership communication guidance, building a strong employer brand and creating a meaningful employee experience.
Yes, your background is important, but we’re equally interested in your soft skills and personality. You’re a resourceful change agent with a doers mindset – a person who creatively seeks new ideas, has the skills to realize them and the ability to inspire people to get onboard. Building professional, trusting relations and handling confidential information with care is in your nature. As a curious and humble listener, you’re also able to put yourself in the shoes of others, and by doing so, you find the best ways to create engaging communication.
