Experienced Electrical Designer to HVDC

You will be part of HVDC within the Power Systems division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 50 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. Tasks: As Electrical Designer with us, you will join an inspiring team that works with completion of the world?s largest power transmission links. It is a diverse and independent job with lots of responsibility and you will have great opportunities to develop your skills within HVDC. The work will entail, among other things, design of assembly and installation documentation for new plants and upgrades of existing ones. You will primarily design control and protection system hardware for our projects, and work with the interfaces to the plant. The department is responsible for design, testing, documentation and commissioning of the control and protection systems for our HVDC plants. The tools used for the design are Engineering Base and our own system HiDraw. On-site commissioning around the world is an important part of our business offering.

Requirements: You are an experienced electrical designer with several years? work experience within the area. It is an advantage if you have a background as an electrician and if you have worked with upgrades of control plants, for example paper and steel mills as well as telecommunication stations. It is also positive if you have worked with switchgears, control systems, PLC programming or testing.
