Scania is transforming from a heavy vehicle factory to a software-driven company. The product we deliver is smart connected robots, interacting with infrastructure and society, reducing environmental impact. On this journey, we need experts in electronics to help us continue to deliver world-class transport solutions.
At our team, Electronic Control Unit Design, we provide the electrical platform for a major part of Scania. This means that we work with cutting-edge electronics for autonomous vehicles and 5G communications among others. We are involved in a majority of future projects here at Scania.
Your new job
You will be responsible for complex electrical hardware and follow the development from idea to finalized product. Our focus is on the more advanced units controlling the functions in the truck with a widespread from air pressure to autonomous vehicles, sensors and AI-capable hardware. We use our knowledge in electronics together with the rest of Scania, e.g. system architecture, test, production and purchasing to specify, develop and test electronics hardware.
Examples of tasks:
• Specify and develop the technical basis for ECU’s, Advanced Sensors and Antennas
• Together with the rest of the development team, cross functions and suppliers take care of technical challenges that occur.
• On trucks, in the lab and by other means secure that the parts work as intended.

Your profile
You have been working within electronics for more than three years and feel comfortable with both details on single components as well as work in projects. Since we have direct contact with suppliers during different project phases you appreciate tasks that include different challenges on both a high technical level and smart networking.
Your education level is probably a Master's in electronics or similar. You speak and write English fluently and preferably also Swedish.
The following areas/abbreviations are familiar and maybe you are an expert in one of them; microprocessors, BGA, EMC, ESD, PCB design, test, analog circuits, underfill, PCB production, conformal coating, life length calculations, etc.
