Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join our 5-person strong team of developers to develop and improve our software platform for our organisation for the next generation Scania trucks and buses with autonomous capabilities.

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join our 5-person strong team of developers. We work in a collaborative environment where we help and develop each other.
Our onboard computational platform runs on high performance computers (compared to standard automotive ECUs) and have a complex HW structure, with both CPUs and GPUs and its operating system. Our contribution is to provide an application framework that makes it easy for algorithm developers to focus on their core tasks and make efficient use of the system's resources.
In this team you will have a varied work schedule with different tasks such as:
• Design, implement, test and maintain new features in the framework on all HW that are supported (Life-cycle mindset)
• Troubleshoot issues together with our stakeholders
• Experiment with next generation HW, OS and improved concepts
• Participate in vehicle trials to see and understand how the autonomous product is used by our customers
Your profile
You have a number of years’ experience in modern C++ and a M.Sc. in Computer Science or comparable experience. An interest in complex functions with focus on easy-to-use, efficiency and maintainability. You are experienced in testing (unit & integration tests) and debugging C++ code, and experienced in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) e.g., in Gitlab or Jenkins. You have previous experience in safety critical embedded systems (incl. non-automotive sector). Experience working with operation systems such as Linux/QNX or other Posix systems. Understanding and experience working agile, like SCRUM or SAFe in a multi-cultural environment.
