Experienced Embedded QA Tester - Hearts of Iron 4

As a member of the QA team at PDS, you will help us deliver the best possible games by testing our Grand Strategy titles in various stages of development. As an Embedded QA for Hearts of Iron 4 you will be part of the development team where we test and analyze every aspect of the game.
About the role
You will be doing traditional bug-testing as well as supporting the developers by providing feedback on soft values such as game design and the general fun factor of the game. This means you need to be apt at interpersonal skills, to be able to nurture relationships with the developers, and communicate feedback that is constructive and relevant. Skill development in areas such as leadership and mentorship to others is encouraged, so our team can collectively spread their passion for quality.
It would benefit you in this role to have an analytical mindset and strong attention to detail, while retaining the ability to take a step back and see the full picture. Requirements
Experience working in Quality Assurance, ideally on games or other entertainment software
Experience in or high level of knowledge of the QA game development cycle
Familiar with testing on a variety of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac, etc.) and release platforms (Steam, Game Pass for PC, etc.)
Proficiency with bug reporting tools such as Mantis or JIRA
Strong analytical skills in reviewing all design-related information and interpreting areas of risk in testing
Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Pluses
In addition to the above requirements it would be beneficial if you had experience in playing Hearts of Iron 4, have a passion for Paradox Grand Strategy Games and are familiar with common game development methodologies (ie scrum, etc.)
Responsibilities
Help create effective strategies around testing all aspects of Hearts of Iron 4
Help create & maintain test cases in collaboration with the QA Lead
Identify and report issues in our Bug Tracking Database according to internal standards
Assist in managing the Bug Tracking Database to ensure it reflects the most current state of the product
ie provide additional information where needed, perform regression testing, close tasks when needed, etc.
Provide a wide range of feedback to developers around the product at every step in development
Assist in documenting testing processes and general QA reports in collaboration with the QA Lead
Communicate & collaborate with Outsourced QA where needed
Assist with testing areas that fall outside of the feature set of the product (ie compatibility testing)
