As an experienced Battery Cell Simulation Engineer, you will play an important role in developing advanced simulation models and driving innovation in battery cell technology. Responsibilities
Collaborate with our talented team of engineers to develop and optimize sophisticated simulation models for battery cells. This includes modeling thermo-electrochemical performance, aging processes, thermal management, and material properties.
Implementation and integration of simulation models into the design and development processes of battery energy storage systems. Your contributions will be instrumental in creating robust and efficient systems.
Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with cross-functional teams. Together, we will ensure accurate representation of battery cell behavior and performance in system-level simulations.
Embrace innovation and continuous improvement. We encourage you to explore new simulation methodologies and techniques to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with our experimental teams to validate simulation models and establish correlations with real-world data.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in battery cell technology, simulation techniques, and industry trends. Your curiosity will fuel our drive for excellence.
Required skills
You possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in LIB (Lithium-Ion Battery) cell simulation and modeling tools such as COMSOL, Ansys, Star CCM+, Python, MATLAB, Simulink, etc.
Your experience includes successfully closing the gap between simulated and experimental results through empirical cell testing throughout the battery development process.
You have a strong understanding of electrochemical processes, aging mechanisms, thermal effects, and material properties relevant to battery cells.
Your proficiency extends to the development and integration of components with complex system architecture.
You are comfortable working with OEM or battery cell supplier development processes and have a track record of effective collaboration.
You have a natural ability to drive changes and enhance the team's ability to excel in modeling, work processes, and technical knowledge.
Qualifications for Success
You are an ambitious, energetic, and communicative engineer with a passion for battery cell simulation and a track record of driving technological advancements.
A Master's degree or higher in Physics, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Material Science, or a related field demonstrates your dedication to the discipline (a PhD is a merit).
You bring a minimum of 3 years of industrial experience in battery cell modeling and simulations within OEM, supplier product development, automotive, or related industries.
Your enthusiasm and commitment to staying at the forefront of battery technology, emerging approaches, and diverse modeling techniques is evident.
As an agile thinker, you effortlessly grasp the bigger picture, identify objectives, set priorities, and support teams in overcoming challenges.
Your result-oriented mindset drives you to seek continuous improvements in simulation methodologies and work processes.
Your excellent communication skills enable you to engage effectively with individuals and groups at various levels within the organization.
Fluent spoken and written English is essential for seamless collaboration.
