Experienced Game Programmer

The Paradox Arctic Family is now looking for a new Experienced Game Programmer to work in a dynamic, supportive, playful and exciting environment! We as Arctic offer you a great opportunity to work with incredible colleagues, challenging tasks, and to be a part of the full development process to create great management & strategy games for an amazing and passionate community! Our goal is to reshape the management genre, create something that has never seen the daylight before and give our fans multiple hours of discovery, new challenges and awesome gameplay!
The role
Your team will be small, cross-disciplined and autonomous, where each member has a big impact on the finished game. You as an Arctic programmer, will have the opportunity to create these fantastic games, discuss and evolve new ideas, solve complex coding tasks and shape a new path of gaming for all our gamers in the world. Not only does it include implementing high quality code, but also making sure to follow the technical architecture of the project and enabling an iterative development process with the end goal of bringing the best possible experience to the players.

Responsibilities
Technical design and implementation of new features
Improving and optimizing existing code
Guiding less experienced programmers towards creating quality software
Drive continuous improvement of the development process and automation in an agile environment

Requirements
Strong programming skills in C++
Extensive work experience with C++
Professional work on one or more software projects from start to finish
Ability to estimate your tasks and collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues
If you have experience in game development, in Unity/C# that’d be a strong bonus, but is not required
