IT Onsite Support Technician Senior
The Onsite Technician Senior provides application and infrastructure support for the Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) end users for Time Critical Support (TCS) areas.
This position occurs as part of the GTT onsite team within the Digital Simulation Platform organization of GTT located in Lundby.
The Onsite Technician advance role is to secure GTT Engineering activities. This position will act as contact for stakeholders in Gothenburg support of Test an Lab stakeholders.  In this role, it is critical to work together with local and global colleagues to deliver support and new and upgraded infrastructure for business solutions. This includes, but is not limited to, Windows/Mac OS, LAN (wired and wireless), Linux, Windows client solutions for office and Test/Lab (Volvo client solutions like MyPlace, FactoryPlace) and specialized engineering devices such as Test Cell equipment, HIL, VR, IoT…
This position performs analytical, technical, and administrative work to support local users and test cells environment. You will also stand alone help stakeholders to set up technical solution.


Core Responsibilities
* Time Critical Support (TCS) of Engineering applications and infrastructure solutions for Test and Lab environment.
* Secure the stakeholder connection for anchor of rollouts, time plans and quality follow up.
* Standalone and take lead – high level of accountability and ownership for you stakeholders’ task within selected responsibility.
* Collaborate with global support technicians in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure and end-user problems.
* Secure the local SLA dialogue with selected stakeholders.
* Act as team leader for the local time critical support technician team in Bangalore by growing a self-going team.
* Secure in-depth knowledge for FactoryPlace PC environment and GTT’s own gateway solution. Act as 2nd level support on site.
* Use delegated authority from global operations teams to manage local infrastructure solutions.
* Provide continual communication/feedback to end-users to understand their requirements and setting the appropriate expectations.
* Install and configure Client systems (Hardware, software, applications, communications, and peripherals)
* Perform scheduled/unscheduled upgrades to machines to maintain a safe & secure network due to OS vulnerabilities and virus outbreaks.
* Systematic fact-based problem solver.
* Manage engineering computers for end-users On-call support.
* Participate in global projects that have an impact on the local business, as needed.

Required Competencies
* Broad IT background including hardware, software and network support.
* Is dedicated to delivering customer value.
* Work patiently with stakeholder who are frustrated and need issues to be resolved quickly or helpful guidance with using the solutions.
* Is open to change and enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks.
* Has fluency in English and Swedish , both written and spoken.
* Interest in the end users’ needs regarding IT. 


Desirable Competences/Certificates
* ITIL Foundation needed.
* Agile SAFe good to have.
* Linux good to have.
* Automation good to have.


Experience Required
* Two years’ experience in an Engineering Environment.
* IT network competence
* Five years of IT experience including hardware, software and network support.
