Position Description

Great! Volvo Group is now searching for a senior IT Architect within the product lifecycle management aftermarket domain.
Solutions for service information is being implemented on the Windchill platform. The information flow includes authoring of service information based on CAD parts and aftermarket methods. The solution integrates with several internal system to create the complete view for the end user that takes care of our customers’ products.
The solutions are a key enabler to achieve engineering efficiency, virtual trust, and the digital twin capabilities across the Volvo Group.

Volvo is driving several exciting transformation projects and initiatives to digitalize our business processes and leverage the value of data and become a fully data-driven company.
Our existing IT solutions in this area will be based on Windchill but will also include technologies like Java, .NET, Angular, cloud and other commercial off the shelf (COTS) solutions where other architects will take lead. We find ourselves in a transformation with heavy investments to transform and modernize our overall IT architecture.
Role, mission & context
As an Architect, you will be part of an environment that embrace change and trust. You will be the be part of creating a good team spirit and a fun place to work that appeals others to join the team and by that the results will follow. You have proven experience in developing and implementing new modern architecture in a Product Lifecycle Management context and are driven to improve the day-to-day experience for our PLM tool users. In addition, you will help us in the agile transformation and modern SDLC software development practices, DevSecOps, and technical documentation (requirements, functional specifications, test plans, etc.).
You are used to communicate with different stakeholders in different levels in an organization since the delivery is touching the day-to-day operation on many levels.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer science or similar, or proven competencies that connects to the Product Lifecyle Management domain is a merit.
You will drive the dialogue to define the needed improvements down to requirements and will also be part of the delivery of the solution in a x-functional Agile context.
You will be or become the IT architecture specialist in the agile team.
You can help us further develop our skills in integrating all architecture disciplines (Process, Data, Application, Integration, Technology, and Security) and advise on functional and technical approaches for all concerned systems within the application landscape.
You will work together with us to design and maintain architecture views, models, and target architectures according to defined standards and tools.
Fluent in English.
