Avalanche Studios is the leading independent game developer in Sweden employing approximately 90 persons. Our first game, Just Cause, was released in 2006 and has sold in over 1 million copies all over the world. Released in March 2010 the follow-up, Just Cause 2, has already received raving reviews. Focused on original IP projects and high-profile licenses we are currently working on multiple high-end titles for PS3, XBOX and PC. Further you will work as part of a cross functional team together with some of the most talented and experienced individuals in the gaming industry. Avalanche Studios does also own Expansive Worlds who develop theHunter, the world's most realistic hunting simulator. Avalanche Studios is currently looking for an experienced Level Scripter/Designer to help contribute to the future success of the studio. As a Level scripter you work close with other designers and coders, from establishing design documents and flowcharts, implementing and scripting, to polish before shipping the game. Your job is to script and tweak the more advance narrative and gameplay driven scenarios by using our game engine editor and python script language. The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated individual who is good at communicating and working within cross-discipline teams. You have a great interest in games and have probably been building levels in your spare time for many years. Requirements . 4+ years industry experience as a Level Scripter or Level Designer . One or more game titles shipped as a Level Scripter or Level Designer . LUA and/or Python scripting experience or similar scripting language . Experience from working with editor e.g. Source, Unreal, Crytek Sandbox or similar . You''re articulate, have strong conceptual skills and the ability to communicate your ideas visually and verbally . You enjoy working as part of a team and are able to meaningfully critique a level (as well as accept criticism) Please apply below with a detailed CV and cover letter.
