Experienced Network Technician to Icomera, Göteborg

We are currently expanding our IT Operations team so that they are growing together with Icomera. We are now looking for someone to be a part of our IT Operations team that is responsible for ensuring fast and reliable networks that process vast amounts of data every day!

Responsibilities
As a Network Technician you will be a part of our IT Operations department based in Gothenburg (Icomera HQ) and you will be working closely with your colleagues in a Network group within the team. You will have a large amount of freedom in leading us in the technical decisions and policies. The tech-stack is based on Juniper and Palo Alto and Icomera InHouse developed products.

You are, together with your colleagues, responsible for developing and maintaining our network infrastructure that currently serves large amounts of data traffic every day. Remember that Icomera connects over 31,000 trains, trams, coaches and buses worldwide, making us the global leader in mobile Internet connectivity for public transport!

This means that there is a lot of responsibility on your shoulders, but you won’t be doing this alone. You will be surrounded by a great and tight team that work together to achieve great results as a unit. You will report to Jonatan, a leader that emphasizes close cooperation and an open communication based on trust and mutual understanding. Jonatan and the team members also like technology, computers, video games and climbing, but you are welcome no matter what your interests are!

As our networks need to run smoothly 24/7/365 we sometimes need to work late evenings, nights or even weekends to make that happen. We expect you to feel comfortable with that commitment to our clients, and the end-users travelling onboard their vehicles. You will be part of our on-call team.

It is a requirement that you:

• Have a Technical Education within networking or computer science at a post-secondary level (Swedish: eftergymnasial)
• Excellent understanding of Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), switching, troubleshooting, VPN (OpenVPN IPsec)
• Have at least three years of experience from a similar role
• Have worked in Linux server environments
• Have good communication skills
• Speak and write fluently in English

It is also desirable if you:

• Have certifications within networking such as CCNP or equivalent.
• Have experience from IP Registers such as RIPE & ARIN.
• Have worked with firewalls and security policies
• Have worked with AWS and or VMware
• Have worked in growing tech-companies
• Swedish language skills are desirable

This is a full time position based at our Headquarters in Gothenburg at Odinsgatan 28. We are primarily working from home at the moment due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
