We are currently recruiting for a Experienced product developer to join the Wound Care R&D team at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden. This function will report into the R&D Manager Product Development.
The Product Development team is a part of our PMO organisation responsible to lead, execute and support the development and realization of new and enhanced products to meet customer needs, secure supply, compliance and competitiveness. In this role you will manage the technical development of medical devices and lead design control activities in new product development projects in collaboration with other departments in R&D, operations, quality assurance, regulatory affairs and marketing
In this role you will work as designer for our Negative Pressure Wound Therapy system. A system that delivers negative pressure to the wound site while transporting exudate from the wound to a dressing and canister.
Key Accountabilities:
Drive and lead design control activities in new product development projects to meet customer and business needs.
Translate customer and business needs into user needs and product requirements.
Drive usability, verification and validation activities (on a system level)
Develop product documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. Medical Device Directive or FDA’s QSR) and Mölnlycke’ Quality Management System.
Guide and coach product developers and associate product developers in the area.
Suggesting continuous improvements such as processes, work instructions and ways of working
Generate new product ideas and generate IP
Capabilities, Qualifications & Experience:
Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Engineering with knowledge and interests in mechanics, pressures and flows of air and liquids
Several years’ experience from product development (R&D) working with products on a system level
Experience of system architecture design
Knowledge of Global Regulatory Requirements and standards related to medical devices eg. 14971, 13485, 60601 is preferred
Knowledge of technical documentation in a QMS
Great communication skills
Fluent English, written and spoken
