Experienced Production Engineers -Assembly to Volvo Group Trucks Operations

We are now looking for strengthening our Engineering Technologies Department with two Experienced Production Engineers within Assembly Technologies. The department goal is to secure future factory state by investigating and developing new machining and assembly technologies with both local and global functions within GTO. The team consist of 11 specialists within different technology areas. A lot of the work are organized in projects and we can have different roles in different projects such as experts, project managers or work package leaders.

We are looking for two creative team players, who is eager to develop the area of assembly and who, like the rest of us, strives towards being the best transmission factory in the world.

Main areas of responsibility

As an Experienced Production Engineer, you will have a great opportunity for personal development. You will be given the chance to grow within engineering and become an expert that cooperate with universities and develop completely new methods and spread knowledge globally within Volvo. You will be responsible to secure efficient tools and processes for the site and spread successful solutions globally. This responsibility includes investigations, analysis, calculations and implementation of new or improved processes/technologies or way of working within relevant area.

Develop the area of Assembly Technologies including e.g.

Assembly process technologies.
Collaborative automation solutions.
Pressing technologies.
Torque technologies.


Develop the area of Assembly verification technologies including e.g.

In process verification technologies.
Automatized quality gates.
Quality control using vision, laser, scanner etc.
Develop the End of Line control equipment.
Develop cleanliness verification equipment.


Develop the area of Assembly Engineering Systems including e.g.

Secure robust and efficient system solutions.
Develop engineering system based on site needs.
Lead system integrations and implementation projects with local and external resources.
Be local key user for relevant system and secure development from an IT perspective.


Qualifications and background to your favor

B.Sc. or M.Sc. within Engineering or similar.
Proven relevant experience within engineering with minimum five years of previous working experience.
Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is meritorious.
Good communication skills.
Strong mathematical skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
