Experienced Production Manager to Modig Machine Tools, Sweden

The professional role:

As Production Manager, you are responsible for the operation, production and performance of the shop to maintain customer deadlines and requirements. Cost effective solutions and creative problem solving will be a daily task in managing the Production system.

The Production Manager will implement lean techniques and is responsible for the timely production of the machines within the specified time limits. Coaching, guiding and growing the team are important qualities that the Modig company considers to be a part of its culture.

This person should be task driven, good at team building and ensuring that his employees are efficient and process compliant. As a Production Manager you should be a strong trainer, and be ready to assist with questions regarding machine assembly and installation when required. Empowerment comes with this position since decision making on the "floor" is a must.

As the Production Manager at Modig Machine Tool, you will have a unique opportunity to work in a smaller company with the ability to make the necessary decisions for success. This role has a significant importance due to the small size of the company and will report directly to the CEO. The company is experiencing significant growth and investing heavily. We are starting the construction of our new facility in Kalmar.

Qualifications:

- Engineering background with possibly machine assembly emphasis
- Prefer 10-15 years experience in CNC machine manufacturing.
- Broad knowledge of the mechanical assembly, hydraulics, pneumatics and general understanding of the electrical installation.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Good knowledge of Office package with emphasis on Excel.
- Experienced leadership and extensive experience from decision-making positions assembly emphasis
