Laboratory and equipment maintenance is a natural and important part of your job and you also take part in our continuous improvement work.
You support our R&D function and production in delivering relevant data for the development of new materials for the future – spanning a wide range from our raw metal powders to finalized products. Close collaboration within our team of R&D engineers and technicians, as well as with other departments, is central to create an inclusive and knowledge-sharing environment. In addition, you keep a close dialogue with internal stakeholders and take part in external networks.
The location for this position is Västberga, Stockholm.
Your background and personality
We’re looking for someone with a PhD in Solid state/Inorganic Chemistry, Physics or Material Science combined with a background of working in the field. You have demonstrated knowledge and practical experience of crystallography and XRD measurements and analyses. Experience of thin films or coatings of hard materials is beneficial. Programming skills/experience of tailor-made analysis scripts is a merit. Working in a truly global environment calls for excellent English skills, verbally and in writing, while you need basic knowledge in Swedish.
As an experienced R&D engineer, you have exactly the confidence you need to solve problems coming your way. Taking initiatives to develop methods in close collaboration with your closest group and stakeholders outside the department comes naturally to you. Being very curious, you like looking into details, and are always eager to learn more and happily share your knowledge with others.
