About this opportunity
We are now looking for a Research Engineer to build and transfer technology competence to ensure technology leadership and profitable business for Ericsson by:
Contributing to Ericsson technology strategy
Developing novel concepts and solutions
Introducing the solutions into product development
Communicating prototypes, concept demonstrations and publications.
What you will do
Perform, document, and communicate research studies, measurements, or computer simulations.
Innovate and build new technical solutions to protect them with Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
Represent Ericsson in external fora such as university collaborations, and customer meetings
Mentor other researchers
Develop research strategies
Develop evaluation tools, demonstrators, or test beds
You will bring
The minimum requirement for the ideal candidate is MS in Electrical Engineering or similar with at least three years of experience or a PhD in IC design.
Deep knowledge of data converter architectures, design, and tradeoffs.
A detailed understanding of the physical layout requirement and ability to perform critical layouts as well as post-layout simulation.
Solid understanding in FinFET technology and device properties.
Hands-on experience in crafting mixed signal circuits such as ADCs, DACs, comparators, and S/H as well as other analog and/or digital circuits.
Basic understanding of digital error corrections techniques and associated signal processing algorithms.
Experience in data converter system level modeling and simulation.
Experience in lab-validation through measurements.
Solid understanding on IC design CAD tools and simulators such as Cadence, Mentor, ADS, Spectre, Calibre, Momentum, HFSS as well as modelling using Matlab/Simulink, Simulink, Verilog-A, Verilog-AMS, or similar.
Digital design competence (RTL coding, place and route, digital backend) a strong plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Motivated to contribute to a wide variety of tasks with clear communication and presentation skills in a dynamic team environment
