Your role
As a researcher at SP your role will be very flexible, you will work both independently and in projects, with state-of-the-art technologies for the benefit of customers. An important part of the role is to together with your colleagues identify project opportunities and develop proposals for new projects, establish networks with businesses and academia both in Sweden and internationally, thus expanding the field of research.

You will participate in the maintenance and development of the national metrology lab for guided microwave quantities such network analyzer calibrations and power. You will work as a measurement specialist in cooperation with small and medium sized enterprises. 

The work will include analysis and design of measurement systems, uncertainty calculation of measurement systems, simulation of microwave systems and nonlinear circuits, modeling of nonlinear microwave components.


Your profile
You have a degree in Electrical engineering or Applied Physics and PhD degree in microwave technology.

You have good communication skills, both in talking and writing. This will be utilized in customer contacts, writing applications for research funding, giving seminars and courses, and acting as a project manager.

We are looking for someone with a well established network in the microwave community.
Experience in microwave research and development and an interest in microwave measurement techniques such as network analyzers are considered an additional qualification.

You speak and write fluently in English while fluent Swedish is considered an additional qualification. The position will be located in Borås, Sweden.
