Experienced RF Design Engineer

We are now looking for both a Radar RF Design Engineer as well as Cellular RF Design Engineer to join our growing product development team.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will be part of the Electronics team and participate in both product development projects targeting our coming generation of products and system devices, as well as study new hardware technologies that will fit into our next generation of products.

Your main tasks will be to:

* Perform feasibility studies of the RF HW design
* Evaluate solutions and select suitable components
* Developing and verifying RF front end design for either radar or cellular products
* Support our EMS partners with prototype production and testing
* Perform tests and verifications of the RF design
* Handle regulatory approvals (EMC and safety)
* Create production documentation

The RF design will be done in close cooperation with electronics engineers, PCB CAD engineers, software engineers and mechanical engineers in order to create an optimal hardware design and high quality products. You will also work together with the Operations department, assisting in production start up and optimization work as well as handle contacts with component distributors, subcontractors and manufacturers. You will thus be responsible for the RF design in the project from start to finish.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We believe that you are a pragmatic and structured person with an open and curious mindset. You are communicative and enjoy teamwork. You probably have an engineering/technical masters degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, with several years of relevant work experience.

It is beneficial if you have experience from working with product development from early stages of conceptual and system level design, through the design and verification phase as well as final EMC and regulatory approvals. You are also able to work efficiently both individually with limited supervision as well as within a team of other highly skilled engineers.

The following would also be great merits:

* Experience with RF platforms
* Experience in technologies as Bluetooth, WLAN, GPS, Radar and 4G
* Simulation experience from e.g. HFSS
* Good experience in RF HW verification using instruments such as Spectrum Analyzer and Network Analyzer
* Experience from Schematic Design
* Understanding PCB layout aspects
* Hands-on laboratory work, soldering etc
* Programming skills
* Experience with certification

THE TEAM
We have several electronics teams at Axis working with different product areas. In one team we have put focus on radar development and in another there is a focus on cellular RF design.

You will play a vital part of the RF design in either group. Your main focus will be on developing and verifying RF front end design, and RF reference designs for future product adaption and configuration. With strong technical focus you will have the opportunity take part of the development of new exciting features for Axis surveillance products together with passionate and skilled colleagues in an environment where engineering skills are highly valued.
