The Connected Systems department consists of 100+ wizards securing Scania’s path to global connectivity enabling sustainable and profitable transportation services.
We offer exciting and varying work duties in a dynamic and fast moving high-tech environment, with already 450 000+ connected vehicles within the key area to enable future autonomous, electric and other connected services solutions.
Your work duties
This position is located in Södertälje and you will be a part of an agile development team. As a Software Development Engineer, your responsibility will vary depending on the current development needs. It will include software development, coordination with other departments and evaluation of new potential technologies.
Your profile
You have good knowledge in written and spoken English. Diversity is the normal situation in our development teams, hence, international experience and cultural awareness will definitely be to your advantage. You will have extensive contacts internally and externally, it is therefore crucial that you have a positive mindset, and are a terrific teammate. You have an academic engineering degree (B.Sc., M.Sc. and/or PhD) and experience from high-tech development projects.
In addition, relevant experience and knowledge may consist of:
• Service-oriented IT architectures, Cloud platforms, development and operation of Cloud services
• AWS (DynamoDB, Lambda, API GW) and C#, .NET knowledge
• Test Driven Development (TDD) experience
• Scrum master
• Backend development
• Knowledge of automated testing, deployment and CI/CD for Cloud Services
