What do we do?
The Combustion system control group is responsible for developing control strategies for engine related functions for heavy duty engines for the complete Volvo Group.
We have many interesting challenges in front of us to develop advanced control strategies to drastically lower the emissions and fuel consumption from our engines. We work towards a future with fossil free transportation (including hydrogen combustion and biofuels).
We work according to agile principles in cross functional teams. The teams work with development of system solutions, software design, implementation and verification of engine control functions. Verification is performed in SIL, HIL as well as on engine or in vehicles. We are responsible for the entire development chain from early project phases to maintenance.
We work in a global organization in close cooperation with agile teams on other sites (Lyon (France), Curitiba (Brazil)) and with calibration teams globally.
What will you do?
You will be part of a cross functional team. Together with your team you will be involved in system design, control development, implementation, verification and validation. You will break down legal requirements, analyze and design SW strategies and document for certification and aftermarket.
We use model-based design strategies and the development tools we use are mainly Matlab, Simulink and Targetlink. You will have a direct impact on current and future products from the Volvo Group.
Who are you?
You enjoy working in teams as well as individually. You like to have and take responsibility. You are innovative and creative and like to share your knowledge with colleagues.
