About this opportunity
This is a technical position, not a manager position.

We are looking for an Experienced System Manager (SM) for Packet Core.
You will be part of the SM community in DG User Plane, where you jointly plan the work and share tasks and knowledge. You will work on defining the functional aspects of end-to-end solutions to customer problems. You will report to the Line manager for System Management UP Core and the position is based in Lindholmen office in Gothenburg.

What you will do
In the role you will be working in close cooperation with, e.g., Architects and Product Owners, managing requirements and influence. Some challenges are maintaining focus on priorities, communicate, and studies needed to drive the area towards the product vision.

As an SM, you will learn to master cutting-edge technology in IP networks, 5G core and distributed systems.

Work with 4G and 5G core, cloud technologies, Kubernetes
Manage strategic technical leadership within the area
Build and manage requirements and take ownership for selected system artifacts
Conduct system studies and manage compliance with standards as well as provide recommendations to standardization work
Support Q&A and pre-sales globally
Work together with development teams to handle backlog refinement, feature studies and splitting large packages into workable items
Support customers and development teams on technical details



You will bring
If you have previous Ericsson Packet core experience as senior developer, design architect you are very welcome to us. And if you have worked in Telecom company with requirement and have network and code and architecture knowledge is an advantage and will give a benefit when searching the position.

Bachelor or degree or higher education in a technical field related to Computer Science
Extensive and comprehensive experience in software development
Solid knowledge about IP networks and Mobile Networks.
Ability to multitask under pressure
An innovative and creative approach paired with the ability to adapt and respond to change
Interest and pride in understanding the whole product and its environment and passion for learning and sharing information with team members
Passion and love to continue developing your knowledge, working at the forefront with new technologies
Superb communication skills, paired with fluency in spoken and written English
Positive “can-do” attitude
