Experienced Task Leader - Fuel Economy

The group Fuel Economy are responsible for strategies, requirements, competence- and process development to meet future CO2 challenges. The work stretches across R&D - from energy efficiency, energy need to energy sources. This role is within the team "Attribute fuel economy" and we are a section of 18 persons working to get right fuel economy for all Volvo vehicles for the right cost and time. We are working with target setting for future vehicle programs to fulfill all legal requirements and market needs for future vehicles but also quality of current production.

As Experience Task Leader you will be responsible for leading projects, cross functional and make sure that the projects reaches its expectations and goals. It also involves coordinate different department and give them right requirements. The main purpose is to move Volvo Cars environmental strategy forward, making Volvo Cars one of the leading car manufacturers in the world regarding fuel economy with electrified vehicles.

Main responsibilities

* Manage and develop the CO2 assignment with a cross-functional team to secure deliveries and results
* Responsible to create assignment time plans which meet the overall project plan
* Report the assignment status and decisions to Environment attribute leaders and Line management
* Anchor decisions, development, status and prognosis for the assignment with the project and line management
* Communicate Co2-targets, road-maps, status and prognosis for the assignment
* Report deviations and propose road-maps
* Coordinate input to program CO2 simulations cross R&D

Required qualifications

* Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineer or similar
* Skilled PC user and experience of MS Office, Lotus Notes and KDP
* Experience of working with development
* Experience of working as task leader
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Driver's license ( B )
* Experience of working with CFD/CAE is an advantage
