Would you like to be part of our team building world class IT systems supporting the production of PostNords services across the Nordics? Systems for parcel sorting, digital ordering (EDI), route optimization, IOT and vehicle management, master data and apps for drivers.

We are working according to Scrum and SAFe in an agile release train with 10 teams delivering the IT solutions supporting the parcel sorting and distribution in PostNord, 2 months increments with 2 weeks sprint planning. Bi-weekly sprint demos and ending all increments with a system demo together with the rest of the agile release train. The team consists of a product owner, scrum master, tech lead, developers and a tester. The system is based on a modularized architecture where we are moving towards microservices. Code in Java and use Oracle as database. We are in the process of migrating to Openshift for container management and Kafka for integration. Jira and Confluence are used for planning and documentation. Bitbucket, Jenkins and Sonarcube are other tools in use. The team is distributed across Sweden and India. We have a hybrid way of working and most of the teamwork is done digitally.
You will be part of an open and including team, working with continuous improvement and development to improve individually and as a team with the purpose to contribute to make everyday life easier for our customer and our business.
What you will do working for us
Develop and maintain systems with focus on digital ordering of PostNord services. Information required to be collected from our customers to be able to collect, sort and deliver our core products of parcels, pallets, and traceable letters.
You will work closely with solution architects and the team to define the system architecture and implement the changes in the systems meeting the business needs. You will evaluate new technology and introduce this whenever feasible. Furthermore, you will manage the technical debt of the system and plan for small and large changes to address the technical debt with the objective to improve quality, time to market, reliability, maintainability, and scalability of the system.
The Nordic EDI solution is integrated with several critical backend systems across the Nordics. You will work in close collaboration with peers working with these systems on how to introduce changes. You will be required to have, or build, a solid understanding of the business domain and how the technical solution provide value.
You will need the following competence and experience
- Java SE.
- Used to work with high transactional- and business critical systems.
- Relational databases, Oracle, and Postgres. NoSQL databases like Couchbase is a merit.
- Message queues and streaming, AMQ and Kafka.
- Cloud based development Azure or AWS is a merit.
- Used to work in a Devops model. Agile method like Safe and Scrum is a merit.
- Experience in taking system architectural and software design decisions and implement these. Modelling using UML.
- Good knowledge in developing IT products with focus on security, scalability, reliability, and availability.
- Experience working in distributed development teams, preferably offshore or nearshore.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Academic degree in IT or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through work experience and continuing professional education.
