Scope of the Role:
Reporting to the Team Lead Client Development in Uppsala, as a UI developer at Metric you will design, build and maintain the presentation layer of our Angular 9 Sports Client and other web applications, as part of our frontend team. You will walk the thin line of implementing amazing UX designs while meeting high demands on performance and other quality criteria.
You will work closely with the UX design team, providing feedback and technical advice at all stages of the UX design process, understanding the capabilities and limitations of our tech stack.
We believe that usability and user experience is your passion and that you have a keen eye for aesthetics. While you’re able to do pixel-perfect implementations of graphical designs, you also know how to spot design flaws and when trade-offs are needed. You’re fluent at html and SCSS/CSS and have excellent understanding of performance optimization for web sites.


Required Skills:
• At least Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, related field or equivalent working experience
• 5+ years of experience as a UI developer
• Expert knowledge of HTML5 and its best practices
• Expert knowledge of CSS, CSS extension languages (Sass, Less) and CSS preprocessor tools
• Expert knowledge of responsive/mobile design
• Proficiency using Material Design or similar design languages
• Proficiency in Angular or other front-end frameworks
• Proficiency coding in Javascript
• Proficiency using Git version control
• Proficiency using the command line
• Proficiency in agile development
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Continuous improvement-mindset

You will work closely with the UX design team, providing feedback and technical advice at all stages of the UX design process, understanding the capabilities and limitations of our tech stack.

Additionally you will be proficient in esponsive/mobile design Material Design, Angular, Javascript, GIT and agile development. Experience in the iGaming industry would be an advantage.
